Different Types of Light Therapy

Updated: Apr 24

Fall is finally here! One of my favorite seasons of the year. The temperatures are a little cooler and watching the colors change is a welcome site. As the seasons change so do routines and schedules.

Speaking of routines and schedules, I am thrilled to announce that I am seeing clients again!! I am beginning to schedule appointments Tuesday thru Friday on a limited basis. I am also adding a few more services beyond light therapy. I am bringing back shockwave therapy, adding Biomat therapy and infrared sauna therapy. I have listed a short description below explaining what each type of therapy brings to you.

What does light therapy do?

Light therapy uses red, blue, and near infrared light to dramatically increase circulation to injury sites and areas of chronic pain. This results in a rapid relief of discomfort, improvement in sensation, and regeneration of damaged tissues and nerves (as well as the breakdown of scar tissue.)

The health benefits that occur as a result of light therapy can be directly attributed to increased blood flow which improves tissue oxygenation. This repairs your body down to your DNA.

If you have been struggling with mental wellness, chronic health issues, sleep, digestive issues, nerve pain, or muscle pain then light therapy is the medicine you need.

What does Infrared Sauna Therapy do?

Infrared sauna therapy dilates the blood vessels, effectively increasing circulation throughout the body. This increased circulation not only helps remove waste products, but also helps deliver more oxygen and nutrients to the skin.

People that want to detox, open up the lymphatic system, recover from illness or muscle soreness find this therapy to be very beneficial and relaxing.

What does shockwave therapy do?

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that stimulates the body's natural healing process. It can relieve pain and promote healing of injured tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues. It accomplishes this by releasing growth factors into the injured tissue.

Shockwave therapy can offer so much help by jump-starting the body's ability to regenerate new tissue. It also decreases your pain by directly stimulating your nerves at the site of the injury. Though the name of the treatment makes it sound painful, the treatment is only mildly uncomfortable for most people.

You might choose this therapy if you suffer from scar tissue, plantar fasciitis, neuropathy, sciatica, piriformis syndrome, or muscle injury.

What does Biomat therapy do?

Biomat therapy effectively reduces the pain and stiffness associated with arthritis, and deeply relaxes the body and increases mobility. It also improves sleep patterns and your immune system. Beyond this, this therapy directly assists in detoxification, increases circulation, metabolism and promotes weight loss, and also reduces inflammation.

Wow, so many incredible new therapy treatments - I am back and ready to support your health journey!

If any of these services interest you, or you know of someone who could benefit from my TLC, please give me a ring and I'll get you back on the books.

With Love and Light Always,

Lisa the Light Lady
